Britax B-Ready Stroller

So you did your research while pregnant with your first baby and chose a stroller that could grow with you and turn into a double whenever baby number two comes along...Britax B-Ready. Awesome choice!

Now that you're preparing for little bundle of joy #2's grand arrival you're going through everything you need before baby gets here and think "Hey, maybe I should get that adapter for the second seat." Like any busy mom that doesn't want to unnecessarily battle a toddler into the carseat to go stroller hunting at the store you go online to order it and it's...NOWHERE!?

You spent $500 on this awesome stroller that you love with the expectation that you could easily turn it into a double to all of the sudden be facing the possibility of a nearly $1,000 purchase to get the new 2017 Britax B-Ready system with additional seat and adapters.  You don't want a new stroller, yours works great. You just want to be able to use yours for your toddler and the new baby without buying a whole new stroller.

I was in the exact same boat and I can help!

Why is it Discontinued?

Basically what happened is Britax came out with a new version of the B-Ready Stroller. It's basically the same stroller but all of the adapters and seat attachments are different sizes.  You can still buy the older 2015 B-Ready as a new stroller here but the second seat and lower car seat adapters are no longer being sold. My theory is this it to get you to buy the new 2017 B-Ready system instead.

So how do you find the old adapters?

eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and Mercari.

Now before you say "I already looked there!" hear me out; I've found two so far.

The postings on eBay seem to be $200 and up with multiple people bidding plus shipping....definitely not worth it. Craigslist is hit or miss and same with Facebook. Facebook Marketplace and the Mercari App both have the option to save searches and be notified when something new is listed. Do this! My saved searches were "Britax B-Ready" and "B-Ready Adapter." Mercari shows things recently sold too and I've seen a few of these lower carseat adapters that have all gone between $50 to $80 (WAY better than eBay). I found my two through Facebook Marketplace, one for $55 and the other for $30!

Once I figured out how hard these are to find, I decided to keep the notifications on.  That's how I found the $30 adapter, and guess what? I flipped it for $70 profit!

You can also find people selling their old B-Ready systems, sometimes including second seat and/or adapters.  It may be worth it to buy a used system then turn around and resell the extra stroller as a single.

As soon as I'm done using my lower car seat adapter I will be posting mine for sale too so keep an eye out ;).

Happy bargain hunting!
