Baby Products Worth Buying
After two kids, I know what I like when it comes to baby gear. It’s hard to know what you’ll need and what you won’t but you’ll figure out what works best for you and how YOU like to do things. This is a list of what worked best for me. Let me know if you try any of these, what you think!
Honest Diapers
I've tried tons of different diapers and these are my favorite. It's important to me to avoid harsh ingredients on sensitive baby skin and these do that with super cute patterns. I feel they hold more than other "natural" diapers and fit well to help avoid blowouts.
2. Halo Swivel Sleeper Bassinest
This is probably my most essential baby product. It swivels and has a drop side so you can easily get baby for night feedings without getting out of bed (so also great for c-section moms!) Make sure you also get the newborn insert and musical mobile so baby feels nice and snug and is ready to sleep well for you.
3. DockATot
DockATot is so much easier to travel with than a pack n play. We brought ours with us every time we were going to see friends or family so we could easily put baby down for a nap.
4. Tote Savvy
Life in Play makes a diaper bag insert that allows you to turn any purse into a diaper bag. This allows you to switch up your look and actually still use your purses after baby instead of lugging around the same diaper bag every day.
5. Aeroflow
Aeroflow breast pumps will deal with insurance for you so you can get a free pump through your insurance. They make it super easy to figure out which type of pumps your insurance will cover and if you can pay the difference to upgrade to a better pump.
6. Legendairymilk Lactation Supplements
This stuff is magical. Two days after I started taking it, I pumped 11oz in one pump session! That's more than I was getting during an entire work day! This company is so great at supporting moms and I LOVE recommending them.
7. Seventh Generation Baby Wipes
I'm a weirdo and super particular about wipes. I hate wipes that stretch! I want gentle wipes with natural ingredients that are thick enough to hold their shape and not rip apart. I found them with seventh generation! I like their household cleaning products too.
8. Chicco Nextfit Zip Convertible Car Seat
I’ve tried 4 different convertible car seats and this is my pick. If I could do it all over again this is the only car seat I would buy. You can unzip the cover to throw in the wash, it has a super easy latch install with a cincher that gets it super tight with little effort, and it’s easily adjustable with multiple recline options.
9. Kiinde Twist System
If you will be returning to work after baby and pumping/bottle feeding, this system is a lifesaver. You can pump directly into their breastmilk storage bags and the baby can feed directly out of the bag (nipple top attaches) so no more washing bottles! You can also use the system with formula or baby food and make your own food pouches.
10. Owlet Smart Sock 2 Baby Monitor
The owlet is a wearable monitor that tracks your baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels while sleeping and alerts you if something falls outside of the normal range. This product was so helpful for me since I struggle with anxiety. It allowed me to sleep when the baby was sleeping instead of staying awake staring at her to make sure she was breathing! It’s every nervous first time parent’s best friend. I HIGHLY recommend. It’s a little expensive so maybe put it on your registry as something a few people can pitch in for. Worth every penny!
